The Tropical is situated in the beautiful Trou d’Eau Douce Bay on the east coast of Mauritius, just a few hundred yards from the village itself, with a picture-postcard view out over the lagoon towards Ile aux Cerfs and Montagne du Chat beyond.

It is the kind of place where new friends are easily made, sipping a refreshing cocktail and watching the moon rise, as night slowly takes over the horizon. |

 The hotel is a wonderful location for a traditional marriage ceremony, performed on the beachfront by a Civil Officer. A photo session follows on the beach itself or in the gardens, as the couple wishes, before an aperitif at the bar and a romantic wedding dinner, with a wedding cake, either on the beach or at a specially decorated table in the restaurant. Next morning, a special wedding breakfast is served on the newly-weds own terrace.
